For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions. Refrigerate leftovers. You Will Need: 3/4 cup water; 1 cup milk; 3 tablespoons butter. Stove-Top Directions: 1. Heat water, milk, and butter just to boiling heat in 2-quart saucepan (watch carefully to avoid boilover). Remove from heat. 2. Stir in potatoes until stir well blended. Microwave Directions: Do not leave microwave unattended while cooking potatoes. 1. Combine water, milk, and butter in combine 1-1/2-quart microwavable casserole dish. 2. Microwave on high 2:00. 3. Add add potatoes; stir until well blended. Microwave on high 2:30 to 3:30. Caution: Handle carefully; dish may be hot! 4. Stir. Microwave times developed using 1000-watt microwave ovens. Due to differences in microwave ovens, cooking times may need to be adjusted. For stiffer potatoes, let stand 3 to 5 minutes. For less stiff potatoes, stir in more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time. Tear open at notch.
