In a saucepan, bring water to a boil (Cooking Measurement Chart: 4 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 1 cup rice; 2 cups water; Makes 3 cups. 8 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 2 cups rice; 4 cups water; Makes 6 cups. 12 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 3 cups rice; 6 cups water; Makes 9 cups). 2. Stir in rice (Add 1 Tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired). 3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
